There are weddings that are beautiful, weddings that are emotional, and then there are weddings like Watcharee & Gregory’s fall celebration at the The Jordan Hotel at Sunday River—the kind that remind you exactly why you love being a wedding photographer.
Set against the rich autumn colors of Newry, Maine, this wedding day was filled with heartfelt moments, elegant details, and just enough challenge to make the final gallery especially rewarding. From the very start, it was clear this day was going to be something special.

Watcharee was absolutely radiant—one of those brides who looks effortlessly stunning from every angle. Gregory matched her perfectly, carrying himself with kindness and grace all day long. Every interaction between them felt genuine and deeply emotional, especially during their vows, which were so heartfelt they genuinely brought tears to my eyes. Capturing moments like that—raw, unfiltered emotion—is what makes wedding photography so meaningful.

The Jordan Hotel provided a breathtaking setting, with peak fall foliage wrapping the day in warm color and texture. We moved through multiple locations in a short window of time, which added a layer of pressure to the timeline—but also created variety and depth in their final images. From scenic outdoor portraits to intimate indoor moments, every location told a different part of their story.

One of the biggest challenges of the day was harsh sunlight with very limited control over light direction. These are the moments where experience truly matters. Instead of fighting the light, I leaned into it—using it intentionally to create soft, romantic backlit images that became some of my favorite photos of the entire season.
Balancing tight timelines, fast location changes, and difficult lighting conditions required calm direction and quick decision-making. Despite the pressure, we were able to produce a gallery full of emotion, elegance, and artistic imagery that truly reflects Watcharee & Gregory’s day.

This wedding wasn’t just beautiful—it was meaningful, emotional, and creatively fulfilling. From tear-filled vows to glowing fall portraits, it’s a perfect example of how thoughtful photography and adaptability can turn challenges into something extraordinary.
